From licorice sales to professional security company.

Thank you for taking the time to see who ConCom Safety is. I started my "career" in the event industry in 1993, selling licorice at one of the country's major festivals. I did this as a volunteer, and found it was very entertaining and fulfilling. As the years passed, I began spending a large part of my summers as a volunteer in several of the country's festivals, and suddenly I was involved in doing security at virtually every major concert and event in the country. In 2005 one of my current large customers asked me if I would start my own company, as they would like to hire this company. This led to the start of ConCom Safety. At first we were only few at each venue. The most common were 4-5 persons, but as time went by we got our own shows, and have also been asked to provide more and more of the staff by our current clients. Today, we have invested in education and made a great effort to influence the industry. I think there is a need for professionalisation in the security industry, and therefore we do everything we can to influence the understanding of Crowd Safety Management. We are not a security services company, and even if guards are needed at events, it is for taking care of the area when the guests have left it. Our focus is on our customers and on them getting a good and safe experience. As a guard you do not learn anything about crowd psychology or mass movements, which is essential when working with large crowds of people. Our profile is communicating with the guests and meeting them in their culture and in their environment, and thus creating a connection to them. Studies show that in case of an incident, people will follow those they regard as positive and competent. Preferably, they have established a kind of bond with those they ought to follow, and this bonding starts upon arrival at the event. ConCom Safety avoids conflicts with the guests by scheduling tasks well and ensuring that the guests get the perception that we are there for them and not to be against them. This profile has proven to be successful, and we now have several of the country's largest tour operators as customers, but we have also gained insight behind the scenes and are advisors to some of the largest sponsors and TV stations that produce big events.

We believe that sharing knowledge is the way forward, and therefore we want to share all our knowledge with our customers. ConCom Safety is not just someone you hire in order to avoid fighting.

We are with you all the way and are there to give the guest a good and safe experience and thereby organizers a good reputation. This is our task.
