Systematic planning and monitoring of orderly movement and assembly of people. Crowd Management involves assessment of methods for human handling in an area prior to its commissioning. It includes an evaluation of the expected density in the audience, the adequacy of arrival and departure, procedures for access control and expected types of activities and group movements.
This planning should be based on manuals, experience and specific statistics, and this planning is essential in order to be able to plan or implement an event correctly. All work should be documented; both to ensure that all relevant parties understand and carry out their work properly, but also to ensure that you have thought all aspects of the safety measures through.
